A Day of Golf to Help Fight Cancer
Springfield, VT – June 11, 2013 – ImageTek Mfg. is happy to announce their sponsorship of the Friends of Norris Cotton Cancer Center’s signature event, The Prouty 2013. Over the last 32 years, The Prouty has evolved into the three day event/fundraiser that it is today. With thousands of participants and a schedule of events to include biking, running, rowing and golf – The Prouty has taken on a life of its own. With the help of over 1,200 volunteers annually, The Prouty event made over 2.5 million dollars of charitable donations to cancer research in 2012.
In addition to research, funds raised by The Prouty also aid in patient support groups, massage therapists, art and writing programs, transportation and other amenities that make treatment as comfortable and beneficial as possible for patients of the center. “It is truly amazing to see so many people come together to help the cause. Remarkable people, getting the job done and having a great time doing it.” says Alicia Baker, ImageTek’s Marketing Coordinator. “It’s a great way to honor loved ones and celebrate those who are here, living with cancer everyday. Those are the real heroes.”
